The history of C.S.I. Egmore Wesley Church and C.S.I. Wesley English Church, Georgetown is the glorious history of a society which laid the foundations, for Methodist Mission in the whole of South India. Methodist Missionaries brought the fundamental Methodist doctrines of God’s unalterable love in Christ, the salvation which is by faith and the witness of the Holy Spirit within the human heart that we are the children of God. C.S.I. Egmore Wesley Church enjoys a proud heritage.
On February 11, 1905 the opening ceremony with the new Wesleyan Church as completed on the Poonamallee Road. The First Indian Pastor was posted in 1967.
