Over the years the needs of our Church in terms of space for the various activities and ministries of our church has been increasing. Recently, with the start of the Tamil Bible School, the Supervised Study Centre on weekdays for the poor children from nearby areas, the proposed expansion of “Parivalaya”, the day care centre for mentally challenged children, the needs of the Choir, the Sunday School, the revamping of the Church Office including creation of Archives etc, the need for additional infrastructural requirements has become acute. A well equipped small conference hall for the conduct of Bible studies, audio visual support to the instruction in the Sunday School, conduct of Seminars, Workshops etc has become a necessity, if the Church is to move forward to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

It is against this back drop that the construction of a muti purpose Centenary Block was prayerfully conceived and the vision moved forward with the unanimous consent of the members of the congregation at a General Meeting held for that purpose. The building is to consist of ground and first floor with a total built up area of about 6000 sq.ft. The ground floor would consist of a muti purpose hall cum auditorium while the first floor would house Parivalaya and a small conference hall to be equipped with modern teaching aids. The initial estimated cost of the project was around Rs 41,00,000/- (Rupees forty one lakhs). The construction of this facility would go a long way in addressing the needs of the Church and overcome the constraints which hamper our ministry as we plan for the ministry of our church which has just crossed the thresh hold and entered the new century.
